Why a Parent Co-Op?

  • Share in your child’s early education
  • Observe your child in a group setting and watch him or her develop during the year
  • Participate in activities with your child and others in the group
  • Be involved in your child’s developing relationships with other children and adults
  • Get to know the families of the children in your child’s class
Parent's Role

Parent responsibilities include helping in the classroom 4-7 days per school year, maintaining the school (by participating in playground and classroom improvement projects, and by cleaning the classroom once or twice each school year), contributing to the school’s fundraising efforts, and attending three mandatory parent meetings (held in the evenings in the spring, fall and winter).

Additionally, the ESNS Board of Directors is made up of parent volunteers who perform the school’s administrative work and work with the teachers to establish the school’s policies. The president of the Board serves as liaison between the parents, other board member and the teachers.
