The East Side Nursery School

teachers

The teachers at ESNS are responsible for developing the daily program, implementing ESNS’s philosophy and assisting the board in establishing the school’s policies.

Carole Coleman O’Halloran, our head teacher, earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Massachusetts. She has held three previous head teacher positions. She taught kindergarten in Oregon, returned to Massachusetts to work in an Early Childhood Center with 3- to 5-year-olds, and later taught a mixed age group of 2- to 5-year-old children at the Boston University Children’s Center. Carole is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Carole’s son and daughter both attended East Side Nursery School. She has been teaching at ESNS since 1994.

 

Michele Borski, our assistant teacher, graduated from Rhode Island College with a B.S. in Education and certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She was the Lead Infant / Toddler teacher at the Jewish Community Center for five years and taught at the Pumpkin Patch Early Learning Center in Cranston, Rhode. Michele also served as a substitute teacher in the Rhode Island public school system. She lives with her husband Jason and her three children in Cumberland. Michele’s children all attended the East Side Nursery School. Michele is a member of the Nation Association for the Education of Young Children. Michele is an avid reader, she loves to create artwork and is dedicated student of the Martial Arts. Michele has been teaching at the East Side Nursery School since September of 2011.
